Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. She is best known for her role as Violet Plunkett from the CBS comedy 'Mom.' A California born, Calvano was initially interested in competitive gymnastics. But, she chose to make a move as an actor. Her first screen appearance was in 2010 in one of the episodes from CBS program 'NCIS'. Her big-screen debut occurred a year later with the biographical film of crime drama 'J Edgar'. In subsequent years, she established herself among the best performers of the day. In recognition of her role in the show 'NCIS', she received a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance on a Television Series Guest-starring Young Actress 11-15 in 2011. In 2013, she was nominated for an additional Young Artist Award for her performance as a guest in the Disney XD comedy show 'Kickin' it'. Calvano played a role in a handful in the episodes "Mom" in its 4th season. She was the primary actor in the early three seasons of the series. The actress won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for Best Female Actor - Rising Star, thanks to her role in 'Mom.
